Reflect, Renew, and Reimagine
Hello Friend!
As December settles in, we find ourselves in a season of contrasts. There’s celebration, but also nostalgia. Connection, but sometimes loneliness. For many of us in the Northern Hemisphere, these shorter days bring not just cooler weather but a longing for light—both outside and within.
This is a tender time of year. A time to be gentle with ourselves and each other. While there’s no shortage of advice about “looking back to move forward,” I’d like to invite you to try something a little different: Look ahead with hope. Let this be a time to plant seeds of joy, curiosity, and kindness for the year to come.
This Month’s Thought: Be Your Own Light
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is no small thing, and neither are the emotional ups and downs this time of year can bring. So, let’s be kind to ourselves. When the outer world feels dark or heavy, remember that even small acts of self-care—like pausing to savor your tea (or cocoa!) or standing in a patch of sunlight—can brighten the day.
This December, instead of pushing through or past the heaviness, try holding it gently. Ask yourself: What would a small act of kindness for myself look like today? Then give yourself that gift.
Practical Tools for a Brighter December
To help you find balance in this complicated season, I’ve created Reflection Pages that are less about dissecting the past and more about envisioning the goodness ahead. It’s a space to:
- Dream about what you’d like to welcome into your life in 2025.
- Celebrate the light you’ve carried through the year.
- Gently release what no longer feels aligned.
Compassionate Rebels - Coming Soon
Exciting things are on the horizon for February! The Compassionate Rebels Membership Community opens its doors soon—a space to help you embrace transitions, cultivate resilience, and connect with like-hearted people. I can’t wait to share it with you.
A Thought to Carry You Through December
"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves."
– Rainer Maria Rilke
You don’t need to have all the answers right now. Let the questions guide you. Let this season, with all its complexity, be a soft space for reflection and the quiet unfolding of your next chapter.
Heart Forward,
Casey
